Democrat Candidates for the 2026 Election

The 2026 Election season is upon us. Here is a list of expected positions that should be on the ballots for the Precincts in Dubois County and the Democrat candidates we know that will be filing for each position. Filing for Candidacy doesn’t start until January 7th, 2026, going to February 6th. Further, the official list of elected positions has not been compiled yet and official filing hasn’t started, so the information we have so far can change. The candidates you see right now are dedicated to run for office. We will update this page as soon as more information is known and become official.

In addition to the list of elected officials, 2026 is the Democrat Party’s turn to nominate Precinct Committeemen. We have several precincts in Dubois County, and we need a person to represent our party in each one. Not all of our state elected offices are presented on the Primaries ballots. The candidates for the positions of Secretary of State, State Treasurer, and State Comptroller (Auditor) are voted upon at the Democrat State Convention on June 6th, 2026 up in Indianapolis. Each county party has a number of delegates to elect to attend the state convention and vote for the Democrat candidate for these 3 positions.
