There are a lot of details here. Don’t worry, your ballot will not have everyone here. Your ballot will be based on what races involve your precinct.
Do you know your Precinct and which districts you are in? The most common requirements for running for office is being a registered voter in Indiana and living in the district for said office. The next common requirement is living in that district for 1 to 2 years. To run as a Democrat, the primary requirement involves your vote in your last 2 Indiana Primaries on your voting record. You need to have voted on the Democrat ballot in the last 2 Primaries you voted. If you did not, you will have to contact the Dubois County Democrat Party Chairman, Dennis Tedrow, for permission to run as a Democrat. You can reach him at our party email address or the form at the bottom of this page.
If you don’t know your voting precinct, the various districts you are in, and your voter status, you can click on the button below to go to the official Indiana Voters webpage and click on the “Visit My Voter Portal” Button somewhere to the middle of the page. Here, you can find out if you are registered to vote, your precinct and districts, and more.
Want access to official election forms for filing for candidacy, guides and manuals, and more? Click on the “Indiana Election Division” button to go to the Candidate Information page of Indiana’s official Election Division webpage, under Secretary of State’s website. You can find copies for all the important forms for filing for office and the state’s official guide on filing.
